Method Letterpress is run by a husband and wife team living in Dallas, Texas. Method’s entire card-making process is controlled from beginning to end, from cutting the paper to mixing the ink, from creating each design to impressing each card by hand. Each card is made individually and each color is impressed separately. Everything is made on a 3,500 lb Kluge letterpress machine.


Method makes all kinds of paper goods, from Personal Stationary to Business Cards, Letterhead to Thank You Cards, and Christmas Cards to Congratulations Cards.

The idea for Method Letterpress started when Carissa was much younger. She was always very artistic, creative and inquisitive. Painting, screen-printing and printmaking became a focus for her, and she decided to go to the University of North Texas to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Art. During college, she obtained an internship at Bell’Invito Letterpress Studio in the design district of downtown Dallas—an internship, coincidentally, that her future husband was able to get for her. She later became their lead printer, printing all of their products, working within their design culture and even training their future letterpress printmakers in the art of letterpress. After 3 years of working at this high-end Letterpress Studio, she decided that her passions of being an entrepreneur and producing art could be melded into one business.


Letterpress printing is a type of printing that uses raised, polymer texts, designs and images which are inked and then pressed into a sheet of paper to obtain the desired image. Letterpress technology was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in 1440, and remained the primary printing technology until the second half of the 20th century.


We provide the finest letterpress products available and maintain the highest quality printing standards. This is not the digital or offset printing you see everywhere else. Our letterpress cards are made on a 3,500 lb cast iron machine, with each card and each color impressed separately.


This is not a digital, anonymous process. Every step of this process is done by hand, with extreme care and precision. Because of this, our production process takes a bit longer than the “other guys,” but the result is worth it. Also, because of this, there are indecipherable and imperceptible variations in inking and orientation that render them unique and truly one-of-a-kind.

Meet Claude

Meet Claude the Kluge Letterpress. Claude is a rare 10x15, 3,500 pound cast iron letterpress machine. It was built by Brandtjen and Kluge in Minneapois, MN in the 1930's. This technology was invented by Guttenburg 550 years ago, and it is the furthest you can get from digital or laser printing. In the age of instant demand and mass, uniform production, the Kluge is a rare glimpse into a world of precision, skill, art and function and form working in harmony.

  • Can you design custom Stationery or Invitations for me?

    Yes! We love to create custom projects. Simply send  us an e-mail through our contact section at the bottom of our home page and let us know that you would like a custom design, and we will send you all the details.

  • Can I cancel an order?

    If you wish to cancel your order, Method Letterpress must receive your cancellation request via e-mail within 24 HOURS of your initial 50% deposit being paid so that no cancellation fee is incurred. If you send your cancellation order after this 24 HOURS but before giving Method Letterpress approval to print, we will return your deposit minus a $50 Cancellation Fee and a Design Fee. If you submit your cancellation fee after you have given your approval to print, we will part ways, but Method Letterpress will retain the 50% down payment and it is not refundable.

  • Can I rush an order?

    We accept rush orders if our schedule allows. Please indicate your desire for a rush order when you contact us about your project, and a representative from Method Letterpress will let you know if your rush order can be approved.

  • How do I pay

    Method Letterpress utilizes PayPal for invoicing. You do not need to be registered with PayPal to pay your invoice, but can simply sign in as a guest. If you have any problems with your payment via PayPal, please contact us at

  • When do I pay for my order?

    After the design process of your order is complete, Method Letterpress will send you an invoice by e-mail for a 50% down payment, with the final payment due before your order ships. We will provide your first proofs of your order 2-4 business days after receiving your down payment.

  • Can I request a different size than what is shown in the design?

    Yes! Keep in mind that the pricing includes the size shown, so that price may change depending on the sizes you would like. Send us an e-mail to get specific pricing.

  • Can I get a custom mixed ink?

    Yes. If you want a custom mixed ink, you will need to provide the PMS number or mail us a sample of the color you would like us to match.

  • Can I submit my own artwork or images?

    We will accept artwork as long as it is in Adobe format, with fonts converted to outlines, and an image in vector format.  We typically will not make any adjustments to your files, but rather provide you with a PDF proof that we will need you to review/approve prior to sending it to print.   • How do I place an order?

  • How long does it take to print my order?

    It takes 15-20 business days from proof approval for Method Letterpress to ship your order.

  • What do I do if I have a correction and my order has already gone to print?

    Call us! Hopefully we have not send your designs off for dies yet. If we have, we will work with you to figure out what the best solution will be.

  • How much does shipping cost?

    Our shipping in the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) ranges from $15-$40, depending on the size of your custom order. Contact us for shipping cost for anywhere outside with US.

  • Can you send envelopes ahead of the order?

    We would be happy to send your envelopes ahead of your order, but there will be an extra shipping charge to cover our costs.

  • Can I split my shipment?

    We can split your shipment. Indicate by email to us that you would like to split your shipment, and give us the second address to ship your order to and what part of your order you need shipped to the second address.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Yes, we do. Shipping cost will be determined on a case by case basis.
